Aim and Scope

The Journal of Business Studies (JBS) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes high-quality research on business studies: Accounting and Information Systems, Management, Marketing, Finance, Banking & Insurance, Tourism & Hospitality Management, and related fields. The journal aims to advance knowledge by sharing original research that is rigorous, relevant, and accessible to academics, practitioners and policy makers.

JBS welcomes studies that address current business issues, offer new theoretical or practical insights, and contribute to informed decision-making in organizations, industries, and public policy. The journal encourages research from diverse geographical, disciplinary, and methodological perspectives.

The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, conceptual papers, and case studies. Both quantitative and qualitative research, as well as mixed-methods studies, are welcome.

The journal particularly welcomes research that explores emerging business trends, contemporary debates in business, digital transformation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and innovation in both developed and developing economies.

JBS is committed to publishing research that is original, methodologically sound, and capable of making a meaningful contribution to business scholarship and practice. It provides a platform where researchers, educators, professionals, and policymakers can exchange ideas that shape the future of business and organization.

Publication Frequency

The Journal of Business Studies (JBS) is published bi-annually, with two issues released in June and December. However, the journal accepts manuscript submissions throughout the year, and accepted papers will be published in the subsequent available issue following the completion of the peer-review and editorial evaluation processes.

Open Access and Copyright Policy

JBS provides immediate, free, and permanent open access to all published content. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, which permits non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited and any modifications are indicated.

Copyright: © Reserved by the Publisher. Copyright in all published articles is retained by the Publisher. Authors grant the Publisher the exclusive right to publish, distribute, archive, and identify itself as the original publisher of the work.

In brief, the Publisher is the copyright owner of all published articles, while the readers are granted a CC BY-NC 4.0 license. Publication Fee

The journal is sponsored by the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Rajshahi. As part of the institutional support, no submission fee, article processing charge (APC), or publication fee is required. Authors can submit and publish their manuscripts free of charge, provided that their submissions successfully complete the journal's peer-review and editorial processes.
